<p>Calcium: Recent studies have shown that getting enough calcium in your diet can help you drop weight too; apparently calcium stored in fat cells plays a crucial role in regulating how fat is stored and broken down by the body—the more calcium there is in a fat cell, the more fat it will burn.  So flood those cells!</p>
<p>Magnesium: In one study, people in the study who ate magnesium-rich diets were protected against developing metabolic syndrome, a group of risk factors linked to cardiovascular disease and diabetes, including elevated blood pressure, low levels of HDL cholesterol, elevated triglycerides, elevated blood sugar levels, and abdominal obesity.</p>
